Besiktas close to signing right-back Opare

The Black Eagles are close to transferring Ghana international Daniel Opare.

Turkish giants Besiktas are set to announce the capture of Daniel Opare after reportedly agreeing a deal with the Ghana defender, according to reports.

The deal is rumoured to be worth €750,000 per year.

The 27-year-old whose contract with German side Augsburg will run out this summer, has not played active football since February after he was expelled from the team over a disagreement with the club’s board.

According to reports from Turkey, the right-back, who spent the second half of the 2014/15 season on loan at Besiktas from Porto, has agreed a deal with the Black Eagles and is set to be announced as their first summer signing.

He was linked with the likes of FC Schalke 04, Leicester City and Celtic but it appears Besiktas has beaten them to the punch.

Opare made 17 appearances for Augsburg in the just ended German Bundesliga campaign.
