Besiktas star Ozyakup’s contract has €10m release clause

The Black Eagles midfielder put pen to paper on a new deal last week that contains a release clause.

The financial details of Oguzhan Ozyakup’s new deal have been revealed and one of the surprises is a €10 a million release clause.

President Fikret Orman revealed to beINSports last week that the player had agreed to a new deal.

However, new details have emerged that the contract contains a €10 million release clause which means he could still leave this summer if a club makes a transfer bid of that amount.

The new deal sees the player get a pay raise, netting him €2.5 million per year including bonuses.

The 25-year-old is wanted by English clubs, particularly Everton and Newcastle, and this could be the news they were looking for, knowing that they now know how much they need to cough up if they want to sign the midfielder.
