Besiktas waiting for Atiba Hutchinson’s decision

Canadian international Atiba Hutchinson still hasn’t responded to the contract offer he has been proposed.

Besiktas have offered their Canadian midfielder Atiba Hutchinson a one-year contract extension but the player is yet to commit to a new deal.

The 35-year-old is reported to be pushing for a two-year contract but the Super Lig club are offering no more than one year due to his age.

However, the Black Eagles wish for him to remain with the club even after he retires, as a coach.

“He is in an advanced age now. We still want him to play for us for one year and after that, to remain as a coach. We made our offer and now he has the final say,” a member of the club’s administration said.

Super Lig rivals Goztepe have been also in talks with the player, who have offered the player a contract however no details of the deal have been revealed.

His contract expires on June 30th and if he does not sign a contract extension, he will be a free agent.
