Galatasaray release several players

The Super Lig champions have decided against renewing the contracts of players such as Yasin Oztekin and Latovlevici.

Galatasaray have released several of their fringe players who have not impressed or were deemed surplus to requirements by the club’s boss Fatih Terim.

Goalkeepers Eray Iscan and Cedric Carrasso, defender Koray Gunter, left-back Iasmin Latovlevici are the names Terim has told they have no future at the club.

Winger Yasin Oztekin is also a free agent after the club are unsure whether to offer him a new deal. He has confirmed he is in talks with rivals Besiktas over a move but nothing has materialized at this point.

The only player that Terim would like to remain is defensive midfielder Ryan Donk, who is also out of a contract. However, at 32, there are doubts about his ability to deliver next season. Coupled with the possibility of new arrivals, his future is also uncertain.
