Atiba Hutchinson contract offer details revealed

The Canadian midfielder has refused the club’s latest contract offer.

Besiktas and Atiba Hutchinson continue to disagree over wages, with the player’s contract set to expire on June 30th. The details of the Super Lig club’s contract offer have been revealed and it looks like this could be the end of the road for Atiba.

Both parties held a meeting at the end of the season, where the club proposed a one-year contract and salary of €500,000 per year.

The meeting proved to be unsuccessful as Atiba rejected the offer, asking for €1,500,000 per year.

The Turkish club came back with an improved offer; a one-year contract with wages of €800,000 per year and the option of a one-year extension if certain criteria are met by the end of next season.

The 35-year-old has turned down that proposal as well and now it seems more than likely the player could leave the club after president Fikret Orman has claimed that will be their final offer. The team’s boss, Senol Gunes, has made it clear he would like the player to remain for another season.

The ball is in Atiba’s court but time is running out.
