Besiktas rejected €18m offer for Vida

The Black Eagles have received a transfer offer for prized defender Damagoj Vida from Liverpool, sources in Turkey claim.

Besiktas’ centre-back Damagoj Vida has been been the subject of an €18 million offer from Liverpool, according to reports in Turkey.

The Black Eagles have rejected the initial offer, with club president Fikret Orman announcing he estimates the player to be worth around €36 million due to this recent performances during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The 29-year-old Croatian joined the Super Lig giants on a free transfer just 6 months ago in January and has established himself as a first-team player.

If a deal is struck this summer, it would mean a significant profit for Besiktas regardless of the transfer fee.

Whether Liverpool or any other club is willing to offer anywhere near the Istanbul club’s asking price, however, remains to be seen.
