Trabzonspor sign Vahid Amiri from Persepolis

The Black Sea Storm have added the Iranian left winger to their squad today.

Trabzonspor have signed Vahid Amiri from Iranian giants Perspolis on a free transfer, the club announced today. The player’s contract with his previous club expired last month.

The Iranian international put pen to paper on a two-year-deal with the Super Lig club during a press conference in Trabzon, alongside the club’s vice president Hayrettin Hacisalihoglu and General Secretary Omer Sagiroglu.

The vice president welcomed the player to the club and spoke positively of his abilities.

“We are very happy that our brother has joined our squad. As you know, he plays for the Iranian national team as a left winger. We needed a player in his position. We know he is a good player and he will show his qualities here. There are many tourists from Iran who come to Trabzon.”

“I wish him success and I wish for him to be happy and successful here. There was no transfer fee involved. We spoke with him and reached an agreement. I’d also like to point out that this isn’t a last minute transfer. We’ve been in talks with him for about one month.”

Amiri also spoke briefly, through a translator, about his move.

“I’m very hapy to have signed for Trabzonspor. I know Trabzonspor is a big club and I know about their supporters. I will do my best for them and the club.”

For the 2019/2020 season, he will earn €650,000.

His manager Amir Saadati has been paid a commission fee of €140,000.
