Besiktas, Basaksehir Europa League opponents announced

The Europa League draw for the third qualifying round has been completed today. The draw took place in Nyon, Switzerland this afternoon.

Turkey’s representatives in the qualifying stages of the Europa League, Besiktas and Istanbul Basaksehir, found out their opponents in their quest for European football. The opponents of the Turkish clubs in the third qualifying round are as follows.

The winner of the Europa League qualifier between Burnley (ENG) and Aberdeen (SCO) will play Istanbul Basaksehir in the third qualifying round. The two clubs will play against each other on July 26th and August 2nd.

Meanwhile, the winner of the bout between LASK Linz (AUT) and Lillestrom (NOR) will face the winner of the duel between Besiktas and B36 Torshavn (FRO).

Super Lig giants Besiktas begin their qualifying quest in the second qualifying round due to finishing 4th last season whereas Istanul Basaksehir enter in the third due to finishing 3rd.

The third qualifying round ties will be played on August 9th and 16th.
