Goztepe sign Celso Borges from Deportivo

Costa Rica international Celso Borges has transferred to the Izmir club from Spain.

Goztepe have completed the signing of midfielder Celso Borges from La Liga club Deportivo La Coruna.

The 30-year-old has penned a three-year contract with the Turkish club. They have paid a reported €1.5 million transfer fee for his services.

He is one of Costa Rica’s best players, having made 116 appearances for his country scored over 15 goals in competitive games.

During his time with the Spanish side, he was a first team player who was a fan favourite. He was a focal point in the team’s tactical set up for the majority of his time there.
