Ankaragucu sign Alessio Cerci on free transfer

The Italian winger has joined the Super Lig club on a one-year deal.

Ankaragucu have announced the transfer of Alessio Cerci on their official website today.

The 31-year-old has agreed to a one-year contract with the newly promoted Super Lig club.

Cerci was a free agent since the beginning of July after he decided to leave his previous club Hellas Verona, who were relegated from Italy’s top flight last season.

The Italian winger has played for some of Europe’s biggest clubs including Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Fiorentina, and AS Roma.

During the signing ceremony, he spoke of his happiness of signing for the Ankara club.

“I came to a big club. My friends were influential in the decision to choose Ankaragucu. I asked them about the club. It’s a good club and that made me interested. By working hard with my teammates, I believe we can be successful,” he said.

The club also announced the signing of another player during the ceremony, midfielder Thibault Moulin.

The 28-year-old has joined Ankaragucu on a season-long loan from Greek outfit PAOK.
