Erzurumspor replace manager with Mehmet Ozdilek

Erzurumspor, still looking for their first win this season, have decided a change in coaches is needed.

Newly promoted Erzurumspor have sacked Mehmet Altiparmak as their manager and have immediately announced the appointment of another.

Mehmet Ozdilek has agreed to take the managerial job at the small Super Lig club until the end of the current season.

The appointment was confirmed by the club today in front of reporters at the club’s facilities.

“After parting ways with Altiparmak we held talks with Mehmet Ozdilek who arrived in Erzurum last night. We’ve signed an contract with Mehmet Ozdilek until the end of the season,” the club’s spokesperson Metin Barlak explained.

Erzurumspor, one of the newest promoted teams in the 2018/2019 season of the Turkish Super Lig, are at the bottom of the table in 18th place with just 2 points after 6 games. They are still looking for their first win.

Their next game is against Galatasaray away on September 28.
