Malatyaspor coach: We need 3-5 transfers

The league’s newcomers are hoping to make at least three transfers in January, according to the club’s head coach.

Malatyaspor coach Erol Bulut has revealed part of his club’s transfer plans for the upcoming transfer window next month.

To be able to maintain their success in the league, they will need to sign several players, Bulut claimed.

Speaking during Tuesday’s training session ahead of their Fifth Round Turkish Cup clash with Erimesgut Belediyespor, the German-born coach told reporters of his wishes.

“We are in second place in the league. To maintain our success and protect our position, we need to make transfers. I’ve said it before, we need to make 3, or 5, transfers. We also want to continue doing well in the Cup. Because of this, we need to increase the depth of our squad. The transfers we will make are very important, they will be vital to us in the second half of the season.

We will start the second part of the season just like we started the first. I believe we will be much closer to our goal after the next 7 weeks of the season. We will try to finish within the top 6,” he said.

Malatyaspor have surprised everyone this season with their attacking and fearless style of play and are currently riding high in second place with 28 points.
