17 Super Lig clubs train in Antalya during break

Almost all of the Super Lig clubs will hold their training camps in Antalya this month.

Turkey’s sunny Mediterranean resort city of Antalya will host 17 Super Lig football clubs in January as they train ahead of the start of the second half of the season.

Out of the 18 Super Lig clubs, only Kasimpasa has yet to determine the location of their mid-season training camp.

The adjacent town of Belek will be where 16 Super Lig clubs will train during the winter training period for upcoming season which will start on January 20.

Defending champions Galatasaray and league leaders Istanbul Basaksehir will be in Belek on January 5 for a week-long training camp.

Besiktas will be in Belek between January 3 and 14 while Antalya is set to host Fenerbahce between January 3 and 11.

Meanwhile, more than 2,000 national and international football teams and nearly 1,000 teams from other branches of sports will train in Antalya between January and March.

One of Turkey’s leading tourist destinations, the resort city will host top teams from all over the world during the winter training period, as the weather during these months is suitable for training and the city has top-level accommodations and sports facilities.
