Goztepe want to take Adebayor on loan

The Izmir club have made an official offer to loan the player for the rest of the season.

Super Lig outfit Goztepe have made ambitious attempt to sign Istanbul Basaksehir striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

The clubs of the two presidents, Mehmet Sepil of Goztepe and Goksel Gumusdag of Basaksehir, met to discuss the potential transfer.

Goztepe have offered to sign the player on a six-month loan until the end of the current season.

The 34-year-old forward has found playing time mainly as a substitute, playing 16 games during which he scored 2 goals and made 2 assists for Basaksehir.

Goztepe have been linked with a couple of strikers so far but are yet to make any reinforcements in that department.
