Fenerbahce bid €1.5m for Brazilian midfielder

The Yellow Canaries are looking to add another player before the transfer window closes.

Fenerbahce have made a €1.5 million offer for Palmeiras midfielder Raphael Veiga, according to reports.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has recently returned from Atletico Paranaense where he spent the season on loan and is now back with his club, Palmeiras.

The Brazilian club, however, have turned down the offer after considering it to be below their valuation of Veiga.

The uncapped player had a solider season last year scoring 13 goals and made 12 assists in 71 games.

Fenerbahce have made just two signings this transfer period, defender Sadik Ciftpinar from Malatyaspor and midfielder Victor Moses from Chelsea on loan.

The Super Lig club are reported to have also made an offer for AC Milan defender Cristian Zapata, whose contract runs out at the end of the season. The offer is said to be a two-year deal although the Colombian is still regarded as an important player by coach Gennaro Gattuso.
