Galatasaray continue to look for new striker

The Lions have been unlucky so far in the January transfer window in their search of an experienced forward.

With less than four days before the January transfer window closes, Super Lig defending champions Galatasaray’s time is running out to sign a new striker. The club barely scraped by their last league opponent, Goztepe, winning 1-0 away on Saturday.

As fans increase the pressure on the club’s officials to deliver a new goalscorer, the club shared an interesting image on their Twitter account in the early hours of Monday morning.

At 3:14 AM on Monday, a picture of several club officials including the club’s president Mustafa Cengiz, vice president Abdurrahim Albayrak and coach Fatih Terim was shared on Galatasaray’s Twitter page in an attempt to assure the club’s passionate supporters that they are working around the clock to sign a new striker.

Galatasaray have been interested and made bids for a number of forwards including;

Benjamin Tetteh (Sparta Prague)
Alan Carvalho (Guangzhou Evergrande)
Pato (Tianjin Quanjian)
Ze Luis (Spartak Moscow)
John Guidetti (Alaves)
Simone Zaza (Valencia)
Nikoa Kilinic (Atletico Madrid)
Wilfried Bony (Swansea City)
Enner Valencia (Tigres)

Nothing has come of their bids as of yet, however, and the club is still on the hunt for a new goalscorer.
