Galatasaray advance to Turkish Cup semi-finals

The Lions made it through to the Turkish Cup semi-finals despite losing 4-2 against Hatayspor.

Galatasaray put in another lackluster performance this week when they lost 4-2 against second division outfit Hatayspor in the Turkish Cup on Wednesday evening.

Despite the loss in the second leg, Cim Bom advances due to the away goal rule having beaten their opponent 2-0 in the first leg of the duel.

The aggregate score of 4-4 sees Galatasaray scrape by yet again, less than a week after winning 1-0 in the dying seconds of their Super Lig clash with minnows Akhisarspor at Turk Telekom Arena.

Galatasaray will meet Malatyaspor in the first semi-final which will be played over two legs.

The other semi-final will be contested by Umraniyespor, who knocked out Trabzonspor earlier this week, and Akhisarspor, who defeated Kasimpasa on Thursday evening.
