Atiba to extend contract for one season

The Canadian international plans to retire in June 2020.

Besiktas midfielder Atiba Hutchinson is considering signing a one-year contract extension, according to reports in Turkey.

The veteran midfielder, whose contract expires at the end of the current season, is reported to have held a meeting with the Super Lig club’s management during which both parties struck a verbal agreement for a one-year contract extension.

According to the reports, Hutchinson plans to see out his professional playing career with the Turkish club and hang up his cleats at of next season.

The Brampton native has been one of Senol Gunes’ favourite players throughout his time with the club.
