Fenerbahce interested in Balotelli, put off by demands

The Super Lig giants are hoping to convince the Italian striker to make the switch to Istanbul this summer.

Fenerbahce are interested in bringing Italian forward Mario Balotelli to Turkey, however, his agent’s wage demands are proving to be an obstacle.

According to reports in Turkey, the Turkish club’s sporting director Damien Comolli has held talks with Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, in order to work out a deal for the Marseille forward.

Raiola is reported to have asked for a two-year contract for his client, which includes a €3.5 million-per-year salary in addition to a €4 million signing-on fee.

The agent’s demands include numerous bonuses which would significantly increase the player’s pay package.

Comolli has informed Fenerbahce president Ali Koc, who has instructed the club’s sporting director to ask for time as they consider the proposal.
