Fenerbahce youngster Elmas wanted by Italian giants

Macedonian international Eljif Elmas has caught the attention of several Italian clubs including Inter and Napoli.

Fenerbahce midfielder Eljif Elmas’s performances for the club this past season have not gone unnoticed. The promising youngster is attracting the interest of several big clubs from Italy, according to his agent George Gardi.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Tutto Mercato, Gardi revealed the interest of multiple clubs in the Macedonian international.

“I supported Eljif when no one else knew of him. It feels good to know that there are a lot of clubs interested in Elijf now. It does not surprise me that he is linked with Europe’s biggest clubs. In my opinion, he can play anywhere. Eljif wants to improve himself. This could be in Italy or in any other league. However, I can tell you that there are at least four big Italian teams including Lazio, Napoli and Inter who have made official contact with us. When the two parties come to an agreement, his decision will be announced, ” the player’s agent explained.

The 19-year-old made 29 league appearances for Fenerbahce this past season during which he scored 4 goals. Despite his age, he has established himself as a regular in the first team through the entire season.
