Fenerbahce close in on Werder Bremen striker

The Yellow Canaries are in advanced talks with Max Kruse.

Turkish football giants Fenerbahce are closing in on a transfer from abroad. The Super Lig club are currently in advanced talks with Werder Bremen forward Max Kruse.

The 31-year-old is in the final month of his contract with the Bundesliga side and is on his way out as the club will not renew his deal. Fenerbahce are hoping to bring him to Kadikoy on a free transfer to replace their outgoing veteran striker Roberto Soldado.

Fenerbahce have offered Kruse a two-year contract with the option to extend for another year if certain criteria are met.

Kruse made 36 appearances for Werder Bremen this past season during which he scored 12 goals and made 14 assists.
