Adriano leaves Besiktas to join Sao Paulo

The Brazilian full-back has left The Black Eagles to continue his career in his homeland.

Brazilian full-back Adriano has agreed to join Sao Paulo, his manager Fabio Santanna revealed.

The 34-year-old left Besiktas after his contract expired and is now set to continue his career in Brazil.

According to Santanna, the player has given his word to Sao Paulo and is close to finalizing his transfer.

“The talks with Sao Paulo are going well. I am optimistic,” he is quoted as telling reporters in Brazil.

Adriano joined Besiktas from Barcelona in 2016 and spent three seasons with The Black Eagles during which he became a regular first-team player under coach Senol Gunes.
