Caykur Rizespor are hoping to boost the sales of their uniforms to 53,000, according to the statement released by the club.
Club spokesperson Yavuz Bakir says the ambitious project is supported by many municipalities and non-governmental organizations.
According to Bakir, the club have sold and gifted 22,800 uniforms to date.
“We are continuing to work on increasing the number to 53 thousand. This project is important for Rize and Caykur Rizespor. We aim to reach the smallest to the oldest with our green-and-blue shirts. We want more sales this season. Hopefully they will increase their purchases of uniforms and season tickets. We will succeed if we stick together,” Bakir said.
The number 53 refers to the license plate code assigned to cars registered in the city of Rize.
