Vedat Muriqi agrees to €1.7m deal with Galatasaray

The Kosovo international is on the verge of completing his transfer to The Lions.

Caykur Rizespor striker Vedat Muriqi has accepted Galatasaray’s latest offer; €1.7 million per year in wages.

Due to his goal-scoring prowess last season, the 25-year-old striker has attracted interest from Fenerbahce as well as clubs in Europe, including Toulouse who have made an official €3 million bid last month for the player’s services.

However, Galatasaray’s salary offer plus Champions League football next season has been enough to convince the tall striker to sign the dotted line.

Caykur Rizespor and Galatasaray are still working out the details of the transfer, however.

Galatasaray have offered a €3 million transfer fee which includes a 15% future sale clause as well as the loan of their newly signed Nigerian defender Valentine Ozornwafor.

The Northeastern club are reported to be asking for a figure closer to €4 million.
