Fener youngster Elmas set for €18m Napoli move

The Yellow Canaries have struck a deal with Napoli for the sale of the promising midfielder.

Turkish football club Fenerbahce have accepted an offer from Serie A giants Napoli for their Macedonian midfielder Eljif Elmas, according to reports.

The two clubs were negotiating for a week and their talks are reported to have come to a happy ending, shaking hands over an €18 million deal.

Napoli initially offered €9 million for the young talent but eventually increased their bid to €18 million after Fenerbahce’s refusal to budge on their asking price.

Elmas is expected to travel to Italy on Monday to pass a medical exam and sign the contract with his new club. The transfer will see Fenerbahce earn a massive profit from the sale of Elmas, considering they paid €180,000 to sign him from Macedonian club Rabotnicki in the summer of 2017.

Fenerbahce are reported to be still keen on signing Roma full-back Kolarov who is reported to be open to a move to Ulker Stadium.
