Goalkeeper coach Taffarel to leave Galatasaray

The Brazilian coach will leave The Lions after years of working as the club’s goalkeeper coach.

After years of working together, Galatasaray and Claudio Taffarel are set to part ways.

The Brazilian coach has decided to call time on his days with Galatasaray, according to reports from Brazil and Turkey.

Taffarel has informed Galatasaray that he wishes to return to his native homeland to be closer to his family and work with the Brazil national team.

The reports claim the former goalkeeper will not be part of Galatasaray’s backroom staff next season.

The club’s goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera, has benefited immensely from the Brazilian trainer’s coaching methods throughout the years of their working relationship.
