Turkish Super Lig club Yeni Malatyaspor have snapped up winger Gokhan Tore on a free transfer on Monday.
The 27-year-old has agreed to a one-year contract with an optional one-year extension if certain criteria are met.
Tore had multiple disputes with Besiktas management in the past, including the club’s president Fikret Orman and will be happy to leave behind his troubling times.
He joined Besiktas for €4.5 million from Rubin Kazan in August 2014 and went on to score 19 goals and make 29 assists in 120 appearances for the Istanbul club.
Yeni Malatyaspor were also in talks with Australian midfielder Luke Brattan, who is a free agent after being released by Manchester City, but were unable to complete the the transfer after the player turned down the club’s offer citing “family reasons.”
