Galatasaray’s relentless pursuit of Radamel Falcao continues despite their financial difficulties in completing the transfer. Turkish football agent Ahmet Bulut, who works closely with Galatasaray on a regular basis on behalf of the club, says the Colombian striker wants to play for the Super Lig giants.
Bulut spoke to reporters at Istanbul Airport on Thursday after returning from Monaco and suggested that the player wants to join Galatasaray.
“Falcao will play one more game this weekend. He has spoken with Jardim [AS Monaco coach] and they want him to play. By the middle of next week, everything will be clear. They will sign another striker. I don’t think there will be a problem after that. If Falcao’s conditions are met, he wants to come to Turkey. If the transfer is made, Galatasaray will make the necessary transfer statements. Everything will be clear by the end of next week,” Bulut explained.
AS Monaco announced the transfer of striker Wissam Ben Yedder from Sevilla on Friday in a deal worth €40m, which could indicate that the French club are preparing for life without Falcao.
One of the biggest stumbling blocks, however, is Galatasaray’s financial troubles. They are reported to be exhausting all options as well as working with sponsors to help finance part of the player’s wages.
