Serie A giants AS Roma have signed Turkish defender Mert Cetin, the club announced on Friday on their official website.
Roma will pay a transfer fee of €3 million to the Turkish Super Lig club, who were promoted from the Turkish second division last season.
Genclerbirligi will also receive 10% of any future transfer fee involving the player.
“As part of the agreement, Genclerbirligi also retain the right to 10 percent of any future transfer fee, in the event the player is sold for a sum exceeding €5 million,” the statement released by AS Roma revealed.
The 22-year-old Cetin has been assigned the number 15 jersey for the 2019-2020 season and line up alongside another Turkey international, winger Cengiz Under.
