First Lig outfit Istanbulspor have appointed Trabzonspor legend Ibrahima Yatarra as an assistant coach, the second division club announced on Friday.
Yatarra will assist the club’s head coach, Fatih Tekke, another Trabzonspor legend.
Both former players know each other well, having played together at Trabzonspor during the early 2000s.
The club wished their newly appointed assistant coach success as he embarks on his new career.
“Ibrahima Yattara has joined the team of coach Fatih Tekke and started his coaching career in Istanbulspor as of today. We wish him success and good luck,” the club’s statement read.
The 39-year-old former winger, who is a duel Guinea and Turkey citizen, spent eight season with Trabzonspor.
