Umit Ozat resigns as Genclerbirligi manager

Genclerbirligi have come to a mutual agreement to part ways with Umit Ozat after the club was relegated.

Umit Ozat and Genclerbirligi have parted ways after mutually agreeing to terminate Ozat’s contract as a manager of Genclerbirligi.

The Ankara-based club have been relegated from the Turkish Super Lig after 29 years of playing in Turkey’s top flight.

The club’s president, Murat Cavcav, explained the decision;

“We have agreed to part ways by mutual agreement with our manager Umit Ozat and thank him and his team for their efforts. We wish the whole team success in the future.”

Cavcav went on to say that coach Sezai Yildirim will take charge of the club’s final game of the season against Bursaspor this weekend.
