Feyenoord reject Fener’s €4m bid for van Beek

The Eredivisie club have turned down Fenerbahce’s bid for their central defender.

Fenerbahce were reported to have made a €4 million transfer bid for Feyenoord defender Sven van Beek earlier this week, however, the Dutch club have rejected their initial offer.

According to reports in Dutch media, Feyenoord are asking for at least €5.5 million for the talented player, who is wanted at Istanbul by the Yellow Canaries’ new boss Phillip Cocu.

The 23-year-old has been identified as a potential transfer target by Cocu, who has just one year left on his contract.

Van Beek has made over 120 appearances for his club since his debut during the 2013/14 season.
