Swansea City striker Ayew on his way to Fenerbahce

Ghana international Andre Ayew is on the verge of joining the Yellow Canaries.

Fenerbahce have reached an agreement with Welsh club Swansea City for their striker Andre Ayew.

The 28-year-old striker has been given permission to leave the club’s camp in Austria to fly to Istanbul and finalize the deal. He is expected to pass a medical and sign a contract shortly.

He will join the Turkish giants on a season-long loan. They will the option to buy the player outright at the end of the loan.

Fenerbahce will cover his wages, reported to be around £60,000-per week for the duration of the loan.

The Ghana star has been unhappy since his club were relegated from the English Premier League and had been looking for a way out.
