Asamoah Gyan responds to allegations

The Ghana star has denied the reports alleging he is financially bankrupt.

Kayserispor striker Asamoah Gyan’s manager Gokhan Altintas has released a statement on the player’s behalf in response to the reports circulating online.

The experienced striker is allegedly bankrupt, having blown his fortune away and is estranged from his wife and kids.

However, his manager says those reports are false.

“To the public; due to our player Asamoah Gyan’s name being mentioned in several news publications around the world, we are required to make a response.

“After meeting with our player Asamoah Gyan, his answers are as follows;

“Because of my popularity and property in Africa, some malicious people are trying to make money off of me. My family situation has nothing to do with what is being reported. Just like in every family, there may be a number of problems but what is written in the news has nothing to do with anything. Although I have an idea of who has made these claims, at the moment I do not want to mention their names but when the time comes, I will share them with the public.

“Currently, I have more than 300 people working with me and I respect all of them. The others who help me will remain unmentioned, between me and God. With the arrival of Hikmet Karaman at Kayserispor, I have a new start and I cannot wait for the second half of the season. I’m only thinking about football and Kayserispor.

“While I continue to train, I want you all to not pay any attention to these kinds of reports unless it comes from me or my manager.”
