Kayserispor coach: We have not lost hope

The club’s head coach Robert Prosinecki says the team are optimistic about their chances of avoiding relegation this season.

Bottom-of-the-table Kayserispor have not given up on the Super Lig, according to the club’s head coach Robert Prosinecki.

Speaking to reporters prior to their training session on Tuesday in Kayseri, Prosinecki remained optimistic about the club’s survival chances this season.

“We did not throw the towel. Kayserispor have not lose hope. We are very hopeful,” he said.

After seeing Kayserispor to a 1-1 draw at home against Ankaragucu on the weekend, Prosinecki said he is looking forward to their away clash with Galatasaray.

“I can say it was a pity in the Ankaragucu match. We really did everything. I think we played very well. We are in a difficult situation as everyone knows. We are getting ready to get the best result from the Galatasaray match,” he explained.

Kayserispor are currently on a poor run of results with their last victory occurring back on December 12, 2019 — a 1-0 home win against Caykur Rizespor.
