Goztepe chasing two players

The Super Lig club have added a striker and a right winger to their January wishlist.

Goztepe are preparing for life without star midfielder Yasin Oztekin, who has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce this month. According to sources close to the club, they plan to bring in two players to reinforce their squad; right winger Claudio Beauvue and striker German Cano.

Cano, who has recently become a free agent after his contract with Colombian outfit Independiente Medellin expired, is a 31-year-old striker that has spent almost his entire career in his South America. In 2018, he scored 31 goals in 47 games for Inependiente Medellin, attracting the attention of a number of clubs including Goztepe.

After having made his start as a youth academy product at Lanus in 2007, he went on to play for clubs in Paraguay, Colombia and Mexico.

Right-winger Claudio Beauvue, on loan at Ligue 1 club Caen from Celta Vigo, is reported to be unwanted by the Spanish side and could leave Spain on cheap transfer. The 30-year-old joined the La Liga club for €5 million from Olympique Lyon in January 2016 but has been loaned out each season.

Goztepe are expected to make a total of 3 incoming transfers this month.
