Kayserispor announce new sponsor

The Super Lig outfit will change their name as of next week to reflect the new sponsorship deal.

Kayserispor have signed a sponsorship deal with Boydak Holding, a Turkish furniture manufacturer, the club’s spokesman Orhan Tasci revealed on Friday.

The cash-strapped club’s new name will be official on Monday after contracts are signed at a press conference held in Kayseri.

“Our club has reached an agreement with Boydak Holding. On Monday at our Kadir Has facilities, we will hold a press conference. We will hold the signing ceremony then,” he explained.

Orhan Tasci, who also acts as the club’s lawyer, announced the club’s new name for the second half of the season will be Istikbal Mobilya Kayserispor as per the sponsorship agreement.

“The first phase of the deal will be until the end of the current season. The club’s new name will be Istikbal Mobilya Kayserispor,” he said.

In order to raise funds, many Turkish clubs allow sponsors to partially change the club’s name for the duration of a season. Some examples of such deals are Medipol Basaksehir, Caykur Rizespor and Atiker Konyaspor, with the first name being the sponsor.
