Cardiff City wanted Yusuf Yazici – club president

The Black Sea Storm turned down an approach for their midfielder Yazici in January.

Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu spoke to one of Turkey’s largest sports outlets, TRT Spor on Monday where he revealed Cardif City’s interest in their prized asset Yusuf Yazici.

Agaoglu spoke about a number of topics with the hosts of the TV program, who pressed the president on the matter after he hinted that there was an offer for Yazici in the January transfer window.

“There were offers for Abdulkadir and Yusuf Yazici from abroad. There was one offer from a Premier League club. Before Sala, Cardiff City wanted Yusuf Yazici. We told them we won’t sell until the end of the season. After telling them we won’t sell until the summer, they turned to Emiliano Sala,” he claimed.
