Goztepe reappoint Tamer Tuna as manager

The Izmir club have reappointed their former manager after parting ways with their previous coach Kemal Ozdes.

Goztepe have reappointed Tamer Tuna as their new manager, the club announced on their official website on Tuesday.

The 42-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with the Super Lig outfit.

Tuna is replacing the recently sacked Kemal Ozdes who was relieved of managerial duties on Sunday February 24.

Ozdes lasted less than three months in charge, having been appointed in December 2018.

“We have signed a three-and-a-half year agreement with technical director Tamer Tuna after our successful meetings. Tamer Tuna and his team will take charge of tonight’s training,” the statement read.

His previous job was with Super Lig outfit Sivasspor with whom he parted ways in November 2018.

This will be Tuna’s second stint with Goztepe, marking his return after leaving the club at the end of the 2017/2018 season in May 2018.
