Diagne: I will leave for more money

Last season’s top goalscorer says he will only leave Galatasaray for more money.

Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne says more money is the only reason he would leave the Turkish Super Lig champions.

When speaking to reporters in his native homeland, the striker was asked about his future with the Turkish club to which responded with a direct answer.

“If I have to leave, I will leave for more money,” Diagne is quoted as saying.

The 27-year-old went on to explain that he has a family to provide for and thus, he needs to earn money.

Reports circulating in Turkey are claiming Galatasaray’s management is ready to cash in on the goalscorer if they can re-coup the €13 million they splashed out for the striker. They paid Kasimpasa an initial €10 million for his transfer in January but the fee rose by another €3 million after they were crowned league champions as part of their agreement.
