Besiktas renew Vodafone sponsorship

The Black Eagles will continue to be sponsored by telecom giants Vodafone for two more years.

Besiktas have signed a two-year sponsorship contract with current sponsor Vodafone, the Turkish club announced on Tuesday.

The press conference held at the club’s facilities in Istanbul was attended by club president Fikret Orman, Vodafone Turkey CEO Collman Deegan, Vodafone Turkey Executive Board Deputy Chairman Engin Aksoy and several members of the club’s Board of Directors.

Orman announced the club have agreed to a two-year deal with the telecommunications provider that will see them earn 36 million Turkish Lira.

“We started a journey six years ago. And since that time, we signed a shirt and stadium sponsorship agreement. We extended that agreement two years ago. The shirt sponsorship has been for five years as of now. Today, we extend the agreement for another two years. Both sides desired to continue this relationship. It is important that a world brand invests in a Turkish club and that the cooperation of the two brands continues as an admirable one.The agreement is for two years. The agreement is for a total of 36 million Turkish Lira. During the course of seven years, this comes out to be a 32 million dollar agreement,” club president Orman explained.

Vodafone Turkey CEO Collman Deegan also expressed his satisfaction at the completion of the deal.

“Six years ago, not only did we sign the biggest sponsorship agreement with Besiktas in Turkish sports history but also a long-term partnership with a total value exceeding 150 million dollars. We strongly believe that Besiktas will wear the jerseys with the Vodafone logo with pride in the years ahead just like they have done in the post,” Deegan said.
