Turkish striker Mevlut Erdinc joins Fenerbahce

The France-born Turkish striker has left Istanbul Basaksehir to join Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahe have signed yet another striker this summer. Former Paris Saint-Germain forward Mevlut Erdinc has transferred to the Yellow Canaries from Istanbul Basaksehir, the two clubs confirmed on Friday.

The 32-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Istanbul club.

Erdinc spent last season on loan at Super Lig outfit Antalyaspor after finding himself surplus to requirements at Istanbul Basaksehir.

He managed to score 12 goals in 24 appearances for Antalyaspor last season.

Fenerbahce have assigned their new striker the number 9 jersey.

Meanwhile, the club are reported to be closing in on another player before the transfer window closes; Brazilian midfielder Luiz Gustavo. Reports in Turkey suggest Gustavo will be Fenerbahce’s final signing of the summer and are on the verge of completing the deal.
