Henri Saivet of Newcastle moves to Turkey

Henri Saivet moves to Sivasspor on a loan deal.

Newcastle’s midfielder Henri Saivet has been transferred to Sivasspor until the end of the season. The Turkish club have been on the lookout for an experienced midfielder and Saivet was seen as a good choice.

The 27-year old has years of experience in top flight football having spent time at Bordeaux, Saint-Etienne and Newcastle in the past.

Sivasspor’s president Mecnun Otyakamaz was in charge of the negotiations to broker the deal with Henri Saivet and his representatives, who were in Istanbul in the final days of the January transfer window.

The Senegalese player is expected to arrive in Sivas after the mandatory medical exam prior to completing the paperwork.
