Ankaragucu sign 15 players in January transfer window

The relegation battlers have overhauled their entire squad with 15 new players during the mid-season transfer window.

Turkish Super Lig relegation battlers Ankaragucu have essentially formed a new team in January as they fight for their survival. The capital club have signed 15 players just a day after their transfer ban was officially lifted.

Speaking at the signing ceremony for their 15 new transfers on Friday in Ankara, club president Fatih Mert said the club’s priority is to keep the team in the Super Lig.

“We have carried out these transfers as a result of intensive and meticulous work. With these new transfers, our team has become stronger. We will play our remaining matches and move our team up. Our priority is to keep the team in the league. I believe we will succeed with these transfers,” Mert told reportes during the signing ceremony.

Anakragucu have signed the following 15 players;

Gerson Rodrigues, Gelmin Rivas, Saba Lobjanidze, Konrad Michalak, Daniel Lukasik, Ricardo Friedrich, Milos Stanojevic, Orkan Cinar, Atila Turan, Fatih Tultak, Suat Kaya, Ahmet Sun, Enes Kubat, Muhammed Yasir Karabay and Nduka Ozokwo.

The club are currently 17th with 13 points.
