Galatasaray respond to Didier Drogba rumours

Galatasaray dismiss Didier Drogba rumours as fake news

The Lions have been reported to be in talks with former striker Didier Drogba about taking over the managerial post in Istanbul.

As Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim and the club’s administration continue to have disagreements over transfer signings in January, certain media outlets have taken advantage of their quarrels.

Turkish media outlet Takvim published an article claiming Galatasaray are forcing their manager Fatih Terim and are planning to replace him with former Chelsea and Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba.

On Sunday, Galatasaray released a statement on their official club website dismissing such reports as “fake news.”

“Unfounded news of talks with Dider Drogba and others regarding managerial duties are being published.

“To our management, technical staff, players and fans; we kindly request that you do not allow such fake news to disrupt the concentration of our entire community as we march towards the championship,” the statement read.
