Turkish Cup final location announced by president Erdogan

Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced the location of the Turkish Cup final today.

Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced Diyarbakir as the location of the Turkish Cup final today during a congress in the city.

The final is set for May 9 2018.

“The Ziraat Turkish Cup final will be held on May 9 2018 in Diyarbakir’s new stadium.”, the president said as he addressed the crowd.

The new Diyarbakir stadium was completed last month and has a capacity of 33,000 spectators. It’s equipped with underground heating and drainage system to handle any adverse weather effects. There are restaurants, cafeterias, VIP rooms, live broadcast departments, press localities, various shops and sports facilities, and underground car parks, all of which are covered with the tops of the new stadium.
