Moussa Sow getting back to scoring

Moussa Sow back to scoring

Bursaspor striker Moussa Sow helped his team get a vital three points as they look to finish the season on a positive note.

The 32-year-old’s goal in the tense clash – that saw nine yellow cards issued – meant he has now found the back of the net in three consecutive games.

Moussa Sow was on target to lead Bursaspor to a 2-1 victory over Konyaspor in a Turkish Super Lig encounter on Monday’s evening.

The striker who completed a loan move from United Arab Emirates outfit Shabab Al Ahli in January continued with his scoring form from their previous two games to put his side ahead before the half-hour mark.

The Senegal international converted from a Baris Yardimci cross before Ertugrul Ersoy doubled their lead in the 35th minute.

In the 89th minute, Adis Jahovic – who replaced Samuel Eto’o before the restart – pulled one back from the penalty spot for the visitors after Nigeria defender William Troost-Ekong, shortly after his introduction, committed a foul in the area.

Sow, making his ninth Super Lig appearance, was taken off in the 63rd minute while Shehu Abdullahi was on from start to finish and earned a yellow card for his troubles.

Mali striker Mustapha Yatabare came on for the visitors in the second half and also earned a caution.

Bursaspor are now 11th in the Turkish top-flight log and face Fenerbahçe in their next encounter on May 5.
