Sivasspor plan to open football academy

Super Lig outfit Sivasspor have plans to open a football academy in the city.

Sivasspor has signed a protocol with the Ministry of Education and the Sivas Provincial Administration to open a football academy within the city.

Speaking at the ceremony held at the club’s facilities, club president Majnun Otyakmaz said he was delighted to have made his dream a reality.

Otyakamaz emphasized the importance of the project, not just for Sivasspor but for Turkish football;

“I think the project will close a very important gap in the Central Anatolia region. I would like to thank the National Education minister Ismet Yilmaz, Sivas governor Davut Gul and the others involved.”

The academy will have 100 beds and will be built on 108 acres of land. The construction will start as soon as possible, he said.
