Costa Rican star Celso Borges to join Goztepe

Costa Rican international Celso Borges is in Izmir ahead of a proposed move to the Super Lig.

Goztepe are on the verge of announcing a new transfer. Deportivo La Coruna’s central midfielder Celso Borges is in Izmir putting the final touches on a contract with the Super Lig club.

The 30-year-old is one of Costa Rica’s finest players, with 116 international caps to his name.

Borges has just one year left on his contract with the Spanish outfit and has decide to call time on his days with Deportivo, where he spent three and a half seasons and made more than 100 appearances.

He is expected to pass a medical exam and sign a contract with Goztepe shortly.
