Super Lig teams average age stats

The youngest team in the top flight is Bursaspor’s while Istanbul Basaksehir have the oldest squad in the league.

With four weeks of Turkish Super Lig action passed, some interesting facts have been gathered about the participating teams in the 2018/2019 season of Turkey’s top flight.

The average age of the football players from all 18 teams is 28.22.

The team with the youngest squad is Bursaspor, with an average age of 25.38.

Istanbul club Kasimpasa are close behind with an average of 26.25 while newly promoted Caykur Rizespor are third with an average of 26.31.

On the other end of the spectrum, the oldest team in the league is Istanbul Basaksehir’s. The players of the orange-navy team have an average age of 29.75.

They are followed by Ankaragucu with an average of 29.66 and Besiktas with an average of 29.3.

The oldest player in the league this season is Istanbul Basaksehir’s Emre Belozoglu. The experienced midfielder is 38-years-old.
